Preseason moving along well...

July 12th, Friday evening the Marksmen took part in their first practice session with coach Alex Couto and his staff putting the players through a series of tactical drills and fitness routines. The 2 hour session put the squad of thirty plus players through the motions and come the end of the session it was clear that this talented bunch won’t make it easy on the staff as to who is and isn’t signed.

Sunday the 14th brought about a new challenge for the squad, a closed door friendly match against the Taunton Spirit of the FA1 League. Taunton opened their doors to the club and thanks to their hospitality the club enjoyed a spirited 90 minute match on a beautiful pitch. Coach Couto used the evening to get a feel for his future starting XI and with three goals and few other chances coming out of the match, he’s looking not to be short of talent to select from.

The Marksmen will resume training for the next two weeks as the roster gears it'self up for it’s 2019 Revival Tour starting in August.
