Elevate Fall River !
It’s with great expectations and an unwavering love for our community that we’re proud to launch our Elevate Fall River initiative.
Using the global appeal of soccer, along with our community’s deep and diverse cultural roots, we’ll be forming bonds with communities and businesses from across the globe to foster growth and awareness of Fall River & the South Coast region. Our project, Elevate Fall River isn’t just for far reaching alliances, it’s focus is on we the community and we’ll be doing our parts to help bring out the best of our local businesses & we the community of Fall River & the South Coast.
We’re looking forward to announcing a series of bonds & partnerships over the course of the following months and hopefully years but our first foray into the world brings us and our community across the oceans to the always beautiful Hong Kong.
Why Hong Kong ?
For many in our community the relationship with Hong Kong lays directly in front you on your dinner table. Many generations of Fall River citizens know the Fall River Sandwich as their special taste of home, a delicacy typically only found within our tight knit community. The origins of this dish trace back to the late 1800’s when immigrants primarily from Shenzhen & Hong Kong settled in Fall River. The Hong Kong style Chow Mein mixed with the locally famous gravy is one part Fall River, one part Hong Kong, much like this current project.
What’s the actual project ?
Starting next month in April, will begin our collaboration with two restaurants within Hong Kong. Both restaurants will not only add Fall River Sandwiches to their menu’s but will also create an ad campaign for the meal & it’s Fall River, MA based inspiration. Food is a common bridge among all of us and we hope that through the many dinner tables and mouths of Hong Kongers that a piece of Fall River will be passed onto them.
Is there any other parts to this project ?
The second part of our project has the club forming an official partnership with the Hong Kong Free Press (HKFP). Currently nominated for a 2021 Nobel Peace Prize, HKFP will be the official jersey sponsor of the Fall River Marksmen FC, the first jersey sponsor in the club’s existence. Impartial, Independent & Operated by Journalists is the basis on which HKFP operates and we’re proud to help extend their global reach. In addition to our jersey sponsorship, we the Marksmen will be donating 100% of all profits from each HKFP sponsored jersey as token of our support for the Hong Kong Free Press & the citizens of Hong Kong.
Wrapping it up.
Although this first phase of Elevate Fall River is focused on planting the seeds for long lasting international relationships, the second phase of Elevate Fall River is focused completely on our community. We’ll be launching our community focused efforts in the beginning of April and we can’t wait to add more energy and focus on elevating the community we play for and represent.
