BSSL Schedule is announced
The BSSL head office released the schedule for the second half of the season. Although traditionally the BSSL plays out over the spring and fall, with a summer break in-between, this year is going to be slightly different.
With the pandemic starting to ease up, the league has reverted back to it’s traditional format of promotion and relegation taking place among all three leagues (Div 1-2 & 3). The first half of the season, the spring/summer portion, will not carry over in the standings. This means all teams will be starting from scratch with no points carried over from the recently completed spring/summer season.
All teams will play a total of 9 league matches with the first place team promoting to the 2nd Division & the 2nd place team will square off against the 2nd place team in the 3rd Division North, the Marksmen play in the 3rd Division South.
With only 9 games being played in total, every match now carries a heavy responsibility of not slipping up in the race for 1st place and promoting to the 2nd Division. The fall/winter season officially kicks off Aug. 28th with the Marksmen hosting Groton House SC at 4pm.
