Inaugural EPSL season kicks off

On Sunday April 3rd the Marksmen kicked off their inaugural EPSL season with a match against cross town rivals, Fall River FC. The final score, a 5-0 loss, was not the way the club wanted to kick start the season but the Marksmen were pleased to finally get the 2022 season started nonetheless.

The EPSL consists of multiple regional leagues through the East Coast, spanning from Virginia to New Hampshire with some of America’s top amateur teams, including the 2021 National Amateur Champions, Lansdowne Football Club. The EPSL also works in conjunction with the National Independent Soccer Association, NISA. Teams who excel and win the EPSL have an opportunity to join the professional ranks via NISA and their US 3rd division league which spans coast to coast.

With the Marksmen looking to join the professional ranks via sporting merit (winning and not purchasing expansion rights), the EPSL & NISA partnership is the perfect platform to bring the Marksmen and the city of Fall River back to the professional world.
