EPSL season hits halfway mark
The Marksmen hit the halfway mark of the 2022 EPSL season upon completion of the 5/7 match against the Boston Rush, a 3-0 victory. Goals from Fabio Andrade, Isma Mendes & Jose Montiero propelled the Marksmen to it’s second victory in as many weeks and helped the club remain unbeaten in it’s last 3 games.
With the EPSL playoffs slated to kick off on June 6th, the Marksmen are now one month away from finishing the regular season. The top 6 in the league qualify for the playoffs and currently the Marksmen sit in 5th position with a 2-1-2 record & 7pts with 5 more matches remaining.
The short 10 game season was introduced to the Northeast Division of the EPSL to enable the newly established division the chance to align with the rest of the EPSL which runs from August through June. In
In August of 2022, all four divisions of the EPSL, from Virginia to Maine, will all be running simultaneously, along with multiple state amateur leagues which feed into the EPSL using the world’s traditional format of promotion and relegation.
