FRMFC path to the pro's now complete

Our city of Fall River is one of America’s best soccer cities with a history unlike any other and it’s about time to return professional soccer to it and to you our beloved community. It’s with this in mind that we’re honored to announce we will be joining the Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) starting this spring, 2022.

The EPSL is the top amateur league in the Northeast & is affiliated with the New England Champions League (NECL) and the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). The three leagues form to provide a clear cut path to the professional 3rd Division by working in unison to provide teams the opportunity to promote to the professional ranks based on sporting merit (promotion/relegation).

The Marksmen will begin the 2022 season playing in the New England Champions League and will aim to win the league and promote to the EPSL. Winning the EPSL would then bring about a promotion to NISA, a professional league with teams based across America. Finishing bottom in either EPSL or even NISA would result in relegation to the league below it, giving all matches played an importance, unlike other U.S. based soccer leagues which mimic traditional American sporting leagues by hitting the reset button upon completion of the playing season.

The path to the professional & national soccer divisions is now possible for the Marksmen thanks to their partnership with the evolving EPSL & NISA. We’re honored to be joining the EPSL & we’re excited to get things started in the New England Champions League in the spring of 2022.
